AMP is a cross-company mentoring programme designed to improve diversity within the actuarial profession. As part of continuously supporting and developing our employees, six mentors and five mentees from the 4most Insurance Practice will take part in AMP 2021.
Originally launched in 2017 to help retain female actuaries within the profession through ongoing career advice and development, AMP has supported over 330 participants to develop positive and meaningful relationships across 20 organisations. While this is still a focus for the programme in 2021, the scope of the programme has been enhanced to establish a culture of inclusion and diversity by embracing actuaries with any challenges and from every background to take part in the programme.
The core pillar of AMP is a 9 month mentoring programme where mentors and mentees with different experiences and perspectives are brought together to foster safe and supportive spaces for participants to reflect and grow as individuals and to inspire the organisations they belong to. These relationships help create a community of leaders committed to their industry, their personal growth and that of others.
4most gave everyone an equal chance to be part of this programme and the participants range from Actuarial Consultants who have recently joined the company to the Partners who have built the 4most insurance practice.
