How 4most’s insurance team is going above and beyond in the Middle East!
13 August 2024
4most’s growing team of experienced actuaries have been servicing some of the leading insurers in the UK since 2017. We were pleased to welcome Piyush Goel at the end of 2023 as an Associate Partner to help propel our insurance offerings into the Middle East.
We wanted to share some of the highlights from the incredible journey he and the team have had so far!
What the team have been up to…
Since entering the market, the team have been busy providing services across life and general insurance to clients based in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and UAE. Here’s a small selection of the work they’ve been doing:
- Building automated combined trial balance creation tools.
- Supporting clients in combining IFRS 17 disclosures from various system outputs for financial reporting.
- Providing ongoing support in running clients’ quarterly IFRS 17 tools, including data preparation and checking the reasonableness of numbers post IFRS 17 runs. Supporting finance teams thoroughly as part of this process.
- Reviewing IFRS 17 model implementation and fixing any errors identified within a short period of time. This ensures financial reporting can be conducted in accordance with regulatory timelines.
- Reviewing in-house IFRS 17 models and regularly acting as a peer review actuary for quarterly submissions to the regulator.
- Supporting clients with motor pricing strategies.
- Providing Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) support to clients considering different approaches used in UK and European markets.
This is just a snapshot of what our team of actuaries are able to provide. You can find a full list of our insurance services here.
Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what our clients have to say:
“Let me take the opportunity to mention the experience has been simply outstanding, exceptional, and so far, the best ever!”
“Piyush and the entire 4-most team ensured that the assignment was professionally managed and delivered on time. Any points emanating over the course of the project were discussed at length with involvement of respective internal experts.”
“…Piyush has really worked like one of our team members which helped us immensely to fulfil auditors’ requirements. During this project we have enhanced our IFRS 17 knowledge and largely streamlined a few critical processes.”
