[Watch online] Model risk management: Regulatory landscape, industry challenges, and moving forward
17 October 2025
Our Head of Market Risk, Ram Ananth, recently delivered a session on the evolving landscape of model risk management, hosted by The Certificate of Bank Treasury Risk Management (BTRM).
With attendees tuning in from across the US, Canda, Latin America, UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, Ram explored how regulatory expectations—from SR 11-7 in the US to SS 1/23 in the UK and the MMS/MMG in the UAE —are reshaping how financial institutions manage model risk.
The session also covered best practices across credit risk, market risk, and AI/ML, offering a forward-looking view on how institutions can build resilient, future-ready model risk frameworks.
Ram commented: “A huge thank you to everyone that tuned in, and to the Certificate in Bank Treasury Risk Management and Moorad Choudhry for having me. I really enjoyed the opportunity to bring this crucial topic to life through a variety of case studies and fun movie/cultural parallels!”
