Affordability Modelling Services
We offer a comprehensive range of affordability services and products to providers of both secured and unsecured lending. Our services include provision of consumer level I&E data feeds, Insights Reporting, benchmarking assessments, our award-winning essential expenditure model and bespoke modelling solutions tailored to your business requirements.
What’s on offer?
Regulatory support: conduct risk and customer outcomes
We have extensive experience and understanding of responsible lending expectations, and we can support lenders to ensure their affordability assessments align with regulatory requirements. We specialise in jurisdictions within the UK (FCA CONC and MCOB), as well as European markets and beyond.
The latest I&E data feeds
Through our partners, IE Hub, we can provide detailed Income and Expenditure data feeds at household level. This enables lenders to either: (1) build their own expenditure model components, (2) validate assumptions within their existing models, or (3) develop challenger models during independent validation activity or be run in parallel, ‘shadowing’ performance of an existing model running in a decisioning process.
Affordability insights reporting
4most offers a quarterly affordability insights reporting subscription. This is provided in an editable format, enabling the addition of your own commentary and data so that you can monitor expenditure assumptions against a unique data source. This is a service for Credit and Model committees, keeping them informed in a rapidly changing environment.
Quality of life expenditure model
Our unique expenditure model was developed using our proprietary source of income and expenditure data. For those who don’t wish to develop their own model, or want a ready-made challenger, this algorithm can be implemented within any decision engine or process. The model is monitored quarterly, as we receive the latest I&E data, and it can be tailored to your specific business requirements.
Model benchmarking assessments
We can review your business’ approaches against industry practice, or even validate your models against our internal expenditure model and ‘ONS equivalent’ benchmarking models. This can be achieved via bespoke coding or, alternatively, using our model monitoring tool LUMOS.
Bespoke model development solutions
Our team has vast experience integrating a wide range of data types and modelling techniques into bespoke solutions. We use data from agencies, central government sources, Open Banking and transactional sources, employing everything between traditional regression to sophisticated Machine Learning techniques. We can develop and implement a tailored affordability model monitoring framework to support ongoing monitoring of your models, using your business’ software, data and platforms. Alternatively, you could harness the power of 4most’s award-winning model monitoring tool LUMOS.
